Stacy McDonald has a post up about homeschooling.  She says everything that we believe- but in a much better (and certainly more concise way).

I truly enjoy homeschooling my childrern.  I really love (at least most days – LOL)  that that I have ALL of my children at home with me during the day.  There is so much that Chloe would miss out on if we packed her up and sent her off to school.  There is also such a wonderful bond between my children that I know they would not have if they were segregated for the majority of the day.

Blessings, Dana

  1. I am so pleased that Homeschooling is a great joy to you and also that your children get on so well. That is awesome. Homeschooling isn’t as big in New Zealand as it is in the States, but I can sure see why it is a growing way of life. We have our son at a small Private Christian School (our daughter will join him end of April), we love the values, the tenderness, the emphasis on the Word etc that there is at the School. A few Mum’s who have homeschooled initially have moved their children to our School (when their families have grown so large it’s become so much more challenging to homeschool effectively). I must admit I am not a fan of the public school system, some of the stuff is so ungodly and any religious instruction frowned upon, unless some Schools are OK with Bible in Schools once a week.

  2. we did the undies instead of pull ups too! evangeline was really good compared to caleb – maybe a boy thing? we always did it in summer though – at least the washing drys quick!
