Sleeping Baby and a New Nursing Pillow

So my days are consumed with resting on the couch and taking care of Noah (and making sure my littles don’t kill themselves *smile*).  I am actually feeling pretty good these days.  Chad wants me to rest at least one more week before I start tackling *all* of the housework that needs to be done… I am ready to start NOW, but I know that he knows best.

For a new (again) momma, I am getting a good bit of sleep.  Noah is sleeping 5-6 hours at night.  None of my other babies sleep so long at this age and I am already spoiled.  She nurses every 2-3 hours during the day, but that is fine by me if it means she will go longer at night.

And speaking of nursing, I have discovered the BEST nursing pillow!!!  With my last two babies, I used a pillow made by Leachco and it worked great!  I had planned to buy a boppy this time (as my old pillow has seen better days) but after reading reviews and looking at the different pillows that are out there, I decided to give the "My Brest Friend" Nursing pillow a try.  Since I had a c-section, I have been reluctant to use it since it straps around your waist.  I used it for the first time tonight and I regret not using it sooner!  It was very comfortable, eased my sore back, and put Noah at the perfect level for nursing!

This pillow was a bit pricey but I think it will be worth every penny.  The one I chose was the deluxe and it was around $40.  I went with the baby blue one because (1) it coordinates with my glider rocker and (2) since I bought it before Noah was born, I didn’t want a "girlie" nursing pillow in the event that we had a boy (3) the blue is a very relaxing and calming color.

That is pretty much the only thing new around here but I hope to post with some pictures SOON!.

Blessings, Dana

  1. Well, it seems that the staff at Willow Creek Community Church has discovered that they are only growing in numbers and that most of their members are not growing in Christ.
