Thinking About Valentines

I have been thinking about Valentines this week (hmmm, wonder why? LOL).

Yeah, I have mushy thoughts of love for my dear husband but I can’t help but think about the greatest “valentine” of all… the gift of love that God sent to redeem us from our sins. Christ’s death on the cross was a true act of love. We did not deserve that love, but it was poured out upon us and we were given the greatest gift ever… salvation.

”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Yes, we all have John 3:16 memorized but read it again (slowly) and really take in each word and what it means. WOW! God really loves us a lot!

Tomorrow is Valentines Day… a day of love. Who do YOU know that needs to hear about the greatest valentine ever? There are so many lost people out there and they are searching for the truth. They are searching for love and they are looking in all the wrong places. They are looking for fulfillment through earthly relationships rather than through a relationship with their Creator, God the Father.

I know that time is short (with Valentine’s Day being tomorrow) but why not make up a few little valentines to share God’s love? You can hand them out at the bank, grocery store, dry cleaners, or anywhere else you happen to find yourself. A simple little gesture like that could really have an incredible impact for eternity for someone.

Have a blessed day,
Dana
