Keeper of the Home

I have been thinking a lot this week about what it means to be a “keeper of the home”. I think that the answer is both simple and complicated – lol.

It is simple because there are basic aspects to it such as cleaning the house, cooking, caring for your husband and children, making the home cheerful and beautiful. The complicated part is doing all of the above (especially if you have never been trained in these things).

The aspects of being a keeper of the home are really not that complicated if you break it down into bite size pieces. The key is to *work* on them daily until it becomes a habit.

For those of you who are like me and need a little guidance, I am going to share with you what I have learned so far (and I am still learning new stuff everyday!). I will be posting on this every Thursday, so please check back tomorrow for the first part of this series. Also, please feel free to chime-in in the comments sections if you want share too!

  1. I also try to recite it in my head as I go about the day. I once read about a woman who would memorize long passages of scripture and she would recite them to her children as she tucked
