It feels nice to but my feet up for a few minutes! Okay, if my husband is reading this, I am NOT eating bon-bons! LOL. This is a joke that between us that all I do is sit with my feet up (a rarity), eat bon-bons (I actually prefer dark chocolate truffles!) and watch soap-operas (my real life is WAY better than a soap – I have peace, a loving husband and wonderful kids!).

Okay, back to topic… We have had a busy day today but it has been quite lovely. I started out rising before my household and having some special time with the Lord (and I even stayed awake for it – lol). My aunt and her granddaughter (hmmm, I guess that would be my cousin, once removed) came for a visit and brought some bricks to us that will be part of the patio that my husband is going to build. It was so nice to sit outside, watch the kids play, and just have a nice conversation . Before my aunt left, she told me that she had had such a nice time and that my home is so relaxing! The thought just occured to me that my home is relaxing and one reason is that I don’t have a TV blaring 24/7. Anyway, it was just such a nice compliment b/c my goal is for my guests to feel relaxed and at home when they are visiting.

After my family left, we went to a friends house. We had a good time visiting with them. Then we came home and I tried to get Fisher to take a nap… but since he had fallen asleep in the car for a whopping 5 minutes, he wouldn’t go back to sleep. Oh, well, at least I got a chance to do a little Bible reading, put groceries away and fold some laundry.

Well, my rest time is over! The kids that live behind us just came over to play a game with Chloe. They are playing mous-trap in the dining room while I cook in the kitchen.

I really do love busy days – I always sleep so sound when I finally close my eyes!

  1. It just really got me to thinking about how Chloe’s future husband (Lord’s will) is out there somewhere… right now. I am praying that his parents have been training him and laying out a firm foundation that is on the Rock.
